MHI Mawuli and Ola Girls Visit Empowering the Next Generation
As part of its ongoing efforts, the Mental Health Index (MHI) partnered with psychologists and psychiatrists for an educational outreach program. We were thrilled to be on the ground and execute this initiative at Mawuli and Ola Girls Senior High Schools in the Volta Region of Ghana. The goal? To equip students with a strong foundation in mental health awareness.
Through interactive workshops and discussions, the students were not only sensitized about mental health, but also equipped with essential coping mechanisms to navigate life’s challenges.
For the MHI team, the success of this program had to go beyond simply delivering the information. It was about creating awareness about mental health and empowering the next generation with tools to build resilience, which we were able to do!
